Inspired by modernist New-York design, the 4-level development is a construction of concrete, steel and brick and is comprised of 20 northerly residences, a cafe and a retail space.

PROJECT PROFILE
Situated in Berwick urban village and nearby to the historic town centre, the masonry used extensively in the 2-level street interface provides a sense of permanence and solidity whilst complimenting the historical surrounds. Brick detailing in conjunction with contemporary steel fenestration, and canopy elements elevate the traditional proportions of the facade. The variance in tone gives a sense of separation to the residential entry, without interrupting the cohesive architectural form. Within the structure, the two-and-three bedroom apartments are enhanced by stone benches, timber veneer cabinetry, modern bathrooms with brushed hammered tiles and black sandblasting cabinetry. The north-aspect and large balconies with sun-filled views and complete double glazing reduce energy costs.
